The hotel was located in a great spot, close to a pleasant walk and not far from the sea, offering convenience for daily activities. The rooms, though a bit small and sparse, had a reassuring 'sanitized' sticker and served their purpose well. The service was excellent, friendly, and efficient despite some minor lapses. The dining experience was satisfying, with some room for improvement in the menu variety. Overall, the hotel provided a relaxing and valuable stay with good facilities.

The hotel room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. However, the heating was too hot and couldn't be controlled, and the service in the pub was unsatisfactory with a disrespectful waitress. The balcony room was smaller than expected and a bit dated.

I came to this hotel to rest after having a disc removed off my spinal cord and couldn't have asked for a better place. The rooms were really spacious, perfect for my recovery, but not having a bath was a drawback. The breakfast was very plain with no choice, and the entertainment area was a bit small for a family room.

The peaceful setting with lovely views of the grounds and the lake make it a truly relaxing stay. It's fabulous being so near to town yet far enough away for a tranquil night's rest.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience, while okay, didn't quite live up to the 4-star standard. Some more variety and improvements needed.
Facilities

The facilities were good overall, but the dining area could use some enhancements for a better experience.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was excellent, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town, but the room was small and had no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable during the night. The service was friendly and approachable, with some standout moments like the afternoon tea, but there were some issues with the dining experience. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights and drawbacks.

Rooms
5.0
The room was far too small, but manageable since we were out most of the day. The lack of air conditioning made it stifling at night, even with the window open.
Service

The staff were friendly and approachable, going above and beyond, especially during afternoon tea.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent, next to the seafront with great walking options and close to the town. However, there were some issues with the staff not being well-equipped in certain areas.
Dining

The dining experience had its highs and lows. While the food was good overall, there were inconsistencies, like parts of meals arriving late.

The hotel's rooms were in need of updating with noise from staff using a nearby fire door for storage being disruptive, although it could be fun for young kids. The service was a mix of overly busy staff trying to impress and excellent attention, especially for spa treatments. The location was fantastic with access to a secret beach and beautiful lake, but the bathroom light was outside government guidelines. The dining experience was disappointing with cold breakfast and service issues. Overall, the hotel could benefit from a complete overhaul to bring it up to modern standards.
